Heir to over 40 years of experience with the First range launched by BENETEAU in 1977, the First 53 sets the course for performance cruising and beyond. This "Luxury Performance" vessel has been designed for discerning owners and seasoned sailing enthusiasts. Hull and steering balance offer unique sensations, a smooth deck layout, and a marine, modern interior featuring white lacquered partitions and molded wood: with the First 53, the new generation of First is underway!
Exterior design
A happy blend of both classic and modern lines marked by a fine straight bow with volume forward, and a very aft 5 m beam, the First 53 immediately displays the strong character of a seaworthy sailboat.
The cockpit has been carefully designed so that nothing obstructs movement forward: maneuvers near the twin steering stations with easy access to the side decks, a space entirely dedicated to relaxation close to the companionway. The low-profile roof gives a sleek style, the flush deck a modern look.
With a powerful but perfectly manageable sail plan with a reduced crew, a high-end mast and deck hardware, the First 53 marks a new era.
Interior design
This is the grand return of molded wood, a noble material with refined finishes, set against lacquered partitions and teak flooring for the interior space of the First 53, which does not aim to be too extreme in its modernity.
Bulwarks and handrails, complete storage make up the layout featuring three double cabins and two heads. The major innovation of this interior lies in the lounge/relaxation area equipped with a sofa and coffee table, separated from the galley area fitted with a dining table.
The whole is bright, airy, and easily connects with the outside through an easy and intuitive companionway.
