The Clipper 42 sailing yacht is a cruising monohull, built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed-keel vessel, rigged as a Ketch with a staysail, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production started in 1974. 50 units of this boat were built.
General condition:
This unit is in very good condition; the hull requires polishing but aside from that, everything is well maintained and ready to sail.
Interior: The bulkheads are in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors have minor defects. The bilge areas are clean.
Exterior: Except for the hull, which requires polishing, we observed no gelcoat cracks on the hull or deck, nor any delamination on the deck. The teak appears to be original but remains in very good condition and shows no signs of needing work.
Mechanics: The engine was replaced in 2021 with a new Nanni 50hp diesel engine, still under 3 years warranty. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
Documentation:
Filing of registration Owner's manuals, boat operation manuals for the propeller and other equipment, ship construction plan
