The Clipper 42 sailboat is a cruising monohull, built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed-keel sailboat is rigged as a Ketch with a staysail, designed by naval architect A. E. Luders, with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production started in 1974, and 50 units of the boat were produced.
General Condition:
This unit is in very good presentation condition, the hull needs polishing but apart from that, everything is carefully maintained and in sailing condition.
Interior: The upholstery is in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and fabrics. The floorboards show some minor defects. The bilge is clean.
Exterior: Apart from the hull that needs polishing, we did not observe any gelcoat chipping on either the hull or the deck, nor any delamination on the deck. The teak seems original but remains in very good condition and requires no work at first glance.
Mechanical: Engine replaced in 2021 with a new Nanni diesel 50hp, still under warranty for 3 years. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
