The Clipper 42 sailboat is a cruising monohull with living accommodations, built by the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed keel sailboat, rigged as a ketch with a jib, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production started in 1974. 50 units of this boat were produced.
Overall condition:
This unit is in very good overall condition, the hull requires polishing but aside from this everything is carefully maintained and in sailing condition.
Interior: The linings are in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors show some minor defects. The bilge areas are clean.
Exterior: Except for the hull that requires polishing, we observed no gelcoat chips on the hull or deck, nor any delamination on the deck. The teak appears original but remains in very good condition and requires no work at first glance.
Mechanical: The engine was replaced in 2021 by a new 50hp Nanni diesel, still under warranty for 3 years. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
