The Clipper 42 sailboat is a cruising monohull built by the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed keel sailboat, rigged as a Ketch with a jib, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders, with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production started in 1974. 50 units of the boat were produced.
General condition:
This unit is in very good condition overall; the hull requires polishing, but apart from that, everything is carefully maintained and ready to sail.
Interior:
The linings are in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors show some minor defects. The bilges are clean.
Exterior:
Except for the hull which needs polishing, no gelcoat chips were observed on the hull or deck, nor any delamination on the deck. The teak appears original but remains in very good condition, showing no signs of needing any work at first glance.
Mechanical:
Engine replaced in 2021 with a new Nanni diesel 50hp, still under 3-year warranty. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
Documentation:
Certificate of registration
User manuals for the boat, propeller and others, ship construction plans
