The Clipper 42 sailboat is a cruising monohull built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed keel vessel, rigged as a Ketch with a staysail, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production began in 1974. 50 units of this boat were built.
General condition:
This unit is in very good condition, the hull requires polishing but aside from that everything is carefully maintained and ready to sail.
Interior: The wall paneling is in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors show some minor defects. The bilges are clean.
Exterior: Except for the hull, which needs polishing, we have observed no gelcoat cracks on the hull or deck, nor any delamination on the deck. The teak appears original but is in very good condition and requires no work at first glance.
Mechanical: The engine was replaced in 2021 with a new Nanni 50hp diesel, still under 3 years warranty. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
Documentation:
