DESCRIPTION AND STANDARD EQUIPMENT CONTEST 46/48
CONTEST 46/48 entirely built by the Dutch shipyard CONYPLEX, in reinforced fiberglass polyester, according to Lloyd specifications and standards (class +100 A).
CONSTRUCTION:
- Hull and deck molded as single pieces in reinforced polyester alternating stratimats and rowings with balsa core. All materials used are of very high quality.
- Hull and deck include numerous fiberglass reinforcements designed to ensure maximum rigidity without adding excessive weight, and the balsa-polyester sandwich provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Areas where fittings are installed are solid polyester.
- The deck is bolted to the hull and overmolded for perfect sealing and a true bond with the hull, protected by a solid teak strip with an inox trim.
- Main bulkheads are laminated to the hull and deck, contributing to the overall strength as each bulkhead adds rigidity to the boat.
- Deck made of 12mm thick solid teak planks.
- Colors: teak deck, white hull and roof, polyurethane line of flotation and decoration in blue.
- Ballast: optional fin keel, 6,200 kg, with a draft of 1.70 m, cast iron bolted to the hull with internal backing plates for each bolt to ensure proper tightening. All bolts are overmolded in polyester and stratimats for sealing. The keel is treated with two coats of zinc and two coats of polyurethane.
- Rudder: mounted behind the keel with a gudgeon, made of fiberglass reinforced with glass fibers and stainless steel fittings. The stainless steel stock is reinforced with stainless steel plates welded to the assembly.
- Large central cockpit, length 2.20 m, self-draining with two outlets. Floors and benches finished with solid teak slats. Storage locker. Equipment in the gunwales that are self-draining and framed in teak. At the rear of the deck, two large lockers, one self-draining for gas bottles.
