DESCRIPTION AND STANDARD EQUIPMENT CONTEST 46/48
CONTEST 46/48 fully built by the Dutch shipyard CONYPLEX, using fiberglass reinforced polyester, according to Lloyd standards and specifications (class+100 A).
CONSTRUCTION:
- Hull and deck molded as one-piece in reinforced polyester with stratified mats and balsa core. All materials are of very high quality.
- Hull and deck receive numerous fibers for maximum rigidity without overloading the boat; the balsa-polyester sandwich provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Areas with fittings are solid polyester.
- Deck is bolted to the hull and overmolded for perfect sealing and a real connection with the hull, protected by a solid teak strip with an Inox insert.
- Main bulkheads are laminated to the hull and the deck. The entire structure provides exceptional strength since each bulkhead contributes to the rigidity of the vessel.
- The deck is in 12mm thick solid teak planks.
- Colors: teak deck, white hull and roof, polyurethane line and decoration strip in blue.
- Lead ballast: optional, fin keel, 6,200kg, with a draught of 1.70m, cast iron bolted to the hull, with an interior backing plate for each bolt to ensure proper tightening. All bolts are overmolded with polyester and stratimat for sealing. The keel is treated with two coats of zinc and two coats of polyurethane.
- Rudder: mounted behind the fin, with a stuffing box, in reinforced fiberglass with stainless steel fittings. The Inox shaft is reinforced with plates welded to the assembly.
- Spacious central cockpit, length 2.20m, self-draining with two outlets. Floor and benches clad in solid teak planks. Storage locker. Equipment in the gunwales which are self-draining and framed in teak. At the rear of the deck, two large lockers, one self-draining for gas bottles.
