DESCRIPTION AND STANDARD EQUIPMENT CONTEST 46/48
CONTEST 46/48 fully built by the Dutch shipyard CONYPLEX, made of fibreglass reinforced polyester, according to Lloyd specifications and standards (class+100 A).
CONSTRUCTION:
- Hull and deck moulded in one piece of reinforced polyester with alternating layers of stratimats and reinforced balsa core. All materials used are of very high quality.
- Hull and deck receive numerous fiberglass reinforcements, specifically chosen to ensure maximum rigidity without adding excessive weight to the boat, and the balsa-polyester sandwich provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Areas where fittings are mounted are in solid polyester.
- The deck is bolted to the hull and then overmoulded to ensure watertightness and create a real bond with the hull, all protected by a solid teak strip with stainless steel edging.
- The bulkheads are laminated to both the hull and the deck. The entire structure offers exceptional strength since each bulkhead contributes to the boat's rigidity.
- The deck is made of 12mm thick solid teak slats.
- Colors: teak deck, white hull and roof, polyurethane line and decoration line in blue.
- Ballast: optional, fin keel, 6,200 kg, with a draft of 1.70 m, cast iron bolted to the hull, fitted with an internal backing plate for each bolt to ensure proper tightening. All bolts are then overmoulded with polyester and stratimats for watertightness. The keel is treated with two coats of zinc and two coats of polyurethane.
- Rudder: mounted behind the daggerboard with a trunion, made of fibreglass reinforced with fibers and stainless steel fittings. The inox pin is reinforced with stainless steel plates welded to the assembly.
- Large central cockpit, length 2.20 m, self-draining with two outlets. Floors and benches covered with solid teak slats. Storage compartment. Equipment lockers in the coamings, which are self-draining and framed in teak. At the back of the deck, two large lockers, one of which is self-draining for gas bottles.
