Vent du Sud 34 at Cap d'Agde offers you this Louisiane Fountaine Pajot Catamaran.
One of the first of the series built in 1985, therefore with retractable keels and rudders on gudgeons and a 25hp outboard on a bracket.
Then switched to bilge keels (0.90 m draft) with rudders still on the transom but non-retractable. Less performance (everything is relative) but more comfort.
Then switch to central inboard Yanmar 3GM30 engine with direct cooling and bracket leg. It is a kind of stern drive that can be lifted in port or at anchor and stays out of the water. Engine completely overhauled (invoices) in August 2022, new hour meter, 18 hours of use. Advantages: torque, fuel consumption, possible motoring in all weather conditions; disadvantage: when sailing the bracket remains in the water. The bracket leg is linked to the rudders by cables.
Then rig change, Z-Spars furling mast in 2007, halyards and cables replaced and furling gear checked in 2022. Sail replaced in 2022, light Bavaria sail for mild conditions revised by Vega Sails in August 2022. A storm jib can be fitted on the mast track for truly bad weather (not supplied).
Foresail Solent self-tacking on Profurl furling.
Two CQR anchors 16Kg with 10m chain, Lewmar electric windlass.
New Thetford chemical toilet. The old marine toilets, still functional, have been removed but remain available. The valves were kept for possible restoration with the marine toilets or other uses (e.g. backup engine water feed).
Winches are Barbarosa 48 fully refurbished, parts replaced, cleaned etc., replacing Lewmar 40 winches converted to ST, which are also available but need servicing.
No electronics, just a Garmin plotter, which I only use to check the consistency of the tablet (not supplied). I am one of the ‘old timers’ so paper charts, pencils, Cras rule, sextant, etc. Navigating with a tablet and Navionics is extremely simple when you started with just a compass.
No fixed VHF, only two portables. The antenna is installed, a second one is spare but not connected.
The liferaft in container is 2021 Hauturier 24H with grab bag from the same era, you upgrade to offshore 48h but with semi-offshore servicing. Also, you can equip the grab bag to your preference.
The galley has 4 burners, gas is outside, the hulls communicate with the central nacelle through a hatch with a cover. You can move from one hull to the other without going outside or maintain each person's privacy. The catamaran is sold with its new tender and new electric motor.
